Accessibility statement
We want the Option Trident website to work for everyone who visits it, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnifiers or other assistive technology. This statement covers the marketing website at optiontrident.com.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with disabilities. We describe this as an aim because we have not yet confirmed that every page meets every part of the standard.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML. Pages use proper headings, lists, tables and landmarks, so screen readers can describe the structure and you can jump between sections.
- Keyboard navigation. You can reach and use every link, button and form field with a keyboard alone.
- Reduced motion. If you have reduced motion switched on in your device settings, the site's animations stop.
- Text contrast. We have checked text colours against their backgrounds so that text is readable.
- Alt text. Images that carry information have a text description.
Known limits
We know about these issues:
- Product screenshots. Some screenshots are images of the Trident app. They cannot be read by a screen reader the way live text can. Where a screenshot is decorative, it is hidden from screen readers. Where it carries information, we describe the main point in the text or alt text, but some small detail in the image may not be described.
- Animated illustrations. Some pages use animated illustrations, such as moving charts. They stop when reduced motion is switched on, but the moving version may still be hard to follow for some visitors.
This statement covers the marketing website only. The Trident app at app.optiontrident.com is a separate product.
